FAQ’s for Aqua Clic

Does Aqua Clic fit on my taps?

Yes, due to the black universal adapter Aqua Clic fit’s on every tap which a thread.
That is our promise, where is a thread on a tap you can screw on an Aqua Clic.
If you need an adaptor, AquaSmart will send them you free of charge.

How do I know my tap has a thread?

Nearly every tap has a thread. It’s been hidden by the aerator. You have to unscrew the aerator and you can see if your tap has an outside or an inside thread.

My taps are very old; can I still fit an Aqua Clic on the tap?

If there is an aerator no problem.
Taps older than 30 years and more, normally with a rectangular outlet, have no threads. You have to change the tap by a plumber to fit an Aqua Clic.

I tried to unscrew my aerator, but I can’t.

Wrap a piece of fabric around the aerator and use a pair of plies to unscrew the aerator clockwise with gentle force.
(See page 29 in the booklet)

I tried with a pair of plies but can’t get the aerator of the tap.

Limestone and calcium build up can work like glue, so the aerator is stuck to the tap. Soak a piece of fabric in vinegar and rap it around the aerator and the end of the tap. Try again after about 15 minutes. When you are still not able to unscrew the aerator repeat the process a bit longer or even over night.
(See page 34 in the booklet)

I can’t screw my Aqua Clic on the tap, because both have external thread.

Remove the black universal adaptor from the Aqua Clic; now screw the Aqua Clic on to the tap. (See page 34 in the booklet)

I can’t screw my Aqua Clic it to the internal thread of my tap, even I did as it shows on page 29 of the booklet.

Please check with your finger if the old gasket is removed. If the gasket is still in the tap remove it and than screw the Aqua Clic in the tap.

My tap is smaller / bigger than the Aqua Clic. What now?

Some taps require a special adaptor, which you can get with us or with your Aqua Clic distributor free of charge.
(See page 30 in the booklet)

I both recently a new tap with a flow rate of 9 lt per minute, should I replace this aerator with an Aqua Clic?

Yes. Aqua Clic water saver using only 3 or 5 lt per minute depends on the insert and your choice. Even with the 5 lt insert you will save nearly another extra 50 % and over 65 % with the 3 lt insert.

Is there any maintenance to do?

Unlikely. Only if the water flows feels different, screw the Aqua Clic out of the tap and pull it apart. Wipe the blue filter clean, put the Aqua Clic together and screw it back in the tap. (See page 30 in the booklet)

Will the AquaClic clog up with limestone residue like normal aerators?

Through the extra big hole and the slick surface of the filter, Aqua Clic is clogging up 12 times slower than conventional metal filters.
We guarantee for 5 years no clogging up of your Aqua Clic.

FAQ’s for Aqua Shower’s

How do I know how much water my old shower use?

Take a 9 lt bucket, turn the cold water tap full on and take the time until the water get up to the 9 lt mark. Turn shower off.
For example: it took 20 seconds to fill the 9 lt bucket. Multiply the 9 lt by 3 times (3 x 20 seconds = 1 minute) equals 27 lt per minute.

How much water does an Aqua Clic Shower use?

AquaClic Shower using only 6 lt per minute with out any discomfort.

I have an old wall showerhead and would like to replace it with an AquaClic Shower. Do I need a plumber to change it?

No, there is no plumber required.

a)   Unscrew old showerhead and remove old plumbing tape.

b)   Place a solid layer of new plumbing tape clockwise on the thread.

c)   Screw the wall mount on, until the hose connection point is at an 45 degree angle
right or left) to the Showerhead holder. We recommend to have the wall mount at
an angle (left or right) to prevent the hose is rubbing against each other, so the
showerhead is unlikely to fall accidentally out of the shower holder.

d)   Connect the rippled end of the hose on to wall mount and the smooth side to the
Shower head, (this will assure a free turning showerhead and the hose will not
tangle up).

e)   Included accessories will allow you to change quantity of water flow and type of
jet spray (Please consult booklet on page 31).

I have already a shower with a hose do I need to replace the lot?

No.

Remove the actual showerhead and connect the Aqua Clic Shower to the hose.
We only recommend replacing damaged hose’s.
